Lives Lived Well

Nowra

FULL TIME

Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Counsellor Case Manager

At Lives Lived Well , we’ve been treating and supporting people whose lives are affected by alcohol and other drugs for over 50 years. We also support people with mental health and gambling concerns and those transitioning from correctional centres. We’re growing fast and building a reputation as a trusted, innovative provider, focused on clinical excellence… and we’d love you to be part of it. If you share our belief in recovery, think in a curious and critical way, and thrive on learning and change, join us and do your best work here!

This is a full-time position working 38 hours per week. The gross annual salary for this role is $85,120 to $91,598 , (depending on experience) plus superannuation and salary packaging.

As an AOD Counsellor Case Manager with Lives Lived Well you will support a diverse range of clients – both face to face and via telephone conversations. Here you:

  • Recognise the needs of our clients and their families/significant others, including the provision of psycho-education, debriefing, support and any family work required.
  • Facilitate group programs with other co-facilitators.
  • Provide pre- and post-rehabilitation support and relapse prevention planning.
  • Maintain timely file records, data collection processes and outcome measures and more!

Along with a great attitude and passion for your work, you will also have the following skills and attributes:

  • Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, human services, occupational therapy, or other health related disciplines – we welcome new graduates to apply!
  • Excellent relationship and rapport building – this role includes networking with local providers and attending meetings and events
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; self-managing and able to prioritise your own workload
  • A proactive team player - but as there is some travel involved (up to two days per week) - you will also be comfortable with autonomy and spending time on your own
  • An understanding of evidence-based clinical frameworks
  • A sound understanding of the professional, ethical, and legislative frameworks, including understanding and setting boundaries

You will be required to hold a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and a valid Australian Drivers Licence.

What matters most is that you’ll live and breathe our values, which means:

  • You are humble, human and full of hope.
  • You show up and share.
  • You ask: Why not? And what’s next?
  • You leave a positive wake.

Why work for Lives Lived Well?

This role gives you a chance to be part of a small, engaged team. Your Team Leader also works from Nowra so you will have all the support and training you may need – we also connect regularly through Teams meetings. You can see all our benefits on our website but some of them include:

  • Opportunity to work autonomously and gain valuable experience in the sector
  • Use of a fully serviced fleet vehicle when you are travelling for work
  • Five additional paid leave days per year to support your wellbeing and work-life balance
  • Salary packaging to increase your take-home pay
  • Regular clinical supervision, case conferencing and debriefings
  • An employee assistance program (EAP) for you and your family, including emotional, psychological, financial counselling and wellbeing services

Applications close on Friday, 18 October 2024 , however, we may be conducting interviews throughout the process.
