The SAP-ISU ABAP Specialist will be a dedicated and detail-oriented SAP-ISU ABAP Quality Assurance Specialist with significant experience in the Energy Utilities sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of SAP IS-U (Industry-Specific Utilities) and ABAP programming, combined with a proven track record in quality assurance processes and methodologies.

The SAP-ISU ABAP Specialist will be a dedicated and detail-oriented SAP-ISU ABAP Quality Assurance Specialist with significant experience in the Energy Utilities sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of SAP IS-U (Industry-Specific Utilities) and ABAP programming, combined with a proven track record in quality assurance processes and methodologies.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

Requirement Analysis: Work closely with business digital product owners to understand and clarify functional requirements, ensuring accurate translation into test requirements.

Code Reviews: Conduct thorough reviews of ABAP code to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Quality Assurance: Oversee SAP-USU ABAP code life cycle from reviewing solutions proposed and being involved in testing and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the highest quality of SAP-ISU ABAP developments and fixes.

Test Automation: Implement and manage automated testing frameworks for SAP-ISU modules to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in technical fields such as IT, Engineering (IT, Industrial, etc.) or business degree with applicable technical experience.

5+ years of experience in SAP IS-U and being exposed to Electric Utilities Meter to Cash Business Processes

Strong proficiency in SAP-ISU and ABAP programming language.

Experience in developing CDS Views, User exits, Smart Forms, BADIs, BTEs, Enhancement Points, and using the Switch Framework

Extensive experience in debugging, performance tuning, Runtime Analysis, and System Monitoring

Expertise on SAP Performance tuning

Hands-on experience in business design, and functional and technical specifications.

Strong written and oral communication skills and an open communication style
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Hands-on experience in all the testing aspects (Integration testing / Functional testing/ User Acceptance Test support).

Proven troubleshooting skills

SAP IS-U Performance Tuning
-
Fluency in English language and Spanish language would be a plus
-
SAP ABAP Certification is a plus.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams.
