Join Wyoming Sugar Co. as we head into our 2024 Campaign! With new improvements and machinery, we're gearing up for an exciting Harvest and Campaign. This is a great opportunity to learn about the fascinating world of sugarbeet processing and manufacturing. This position ranges from one of our 10+ classifications. Employee will be assigned a role under a supervisor. Possible duties include one or more of the following: 1. Operate or tend equipment that cleans, slices, diffuses various products from sugar beets (Flume operation, Rock/trash catcher operation, Filter cleaning & operation, Lime handling & operation, Chipper House operation, Knife filing & Setting, etc). 2. Perform sanitation and clean-up duties (Clean floors, handrails, and work surfaces, pick up debris and keep work area free from clutter, etc). 3. Sulfur addition to maintain an even flow of sulfur into the stove feeder system (fill hopper, tally amount used, observe flow of materials, listen for machine malfunctions, monitor temperature/humidity/pressure gauges/etc, adjust controls to maintain prescribed operating conditions, and notify supervisors if corrective actions fail). 4. Observe, feel, taste, or otherwise examine products during and after processing to ensure conformance to standards. 5. Set temperature and time controls, and start equipment, such as conveyors, kilns, boilers, blowers, driers, or pumps. 6. Observe flow of materials and listen for machine malfunctions, such as jamming or spillage, and notify supervisors if corrective actions fail. 7. Observe temperature, humidity, pressure gauges, and product samples and adjust controls, such as thermostats and valves, to maintain prescribed operating conditions for specific stages. 8. Other duties specified by employer or supervisor. Physical Demands and Expectations

Wages will start at $16/hour and will increase based on performance and position.
