Position Description & Details

Are you passionate about Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) and eager to support transformative educational initiatives for youth and adults with disabilities? We’re seeking a Data Coordinator to join our innovative XR for VR program, supported by the Department of Education (ED). This role is essential in ensuring the seamless implementation of grant activities, coordinating data collection, and analyzing participant outcomes to drive program success. Key Responsibilities:
Grant Coordination and Implementation
  • Assist the XR for VR Project Director in preparing, analyzing, and reporting grant documents, including quarterly reports and modification requests.
  • Ensure compliance with ED guidelines and regulations, coordinating the application of grant policies.
  • Facilitate meetings for Subcontract Awards and Advisory Committees, including managing agendas, arranging facilities, and following up on action items.
  • Oversee the processing of grant expenditures, collaborating with the Grants Accountant to analyze budgets, reconcile expenses, and manage cost allocations.
  • Partner with the Career Coach to develop screening criteria, manage confidential applicant data, and support participant selection processes.
  • Prepare and analyze data for quarterly reports and collaborate with third-party evaluators on grant assessments.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of grant policies and recommend process improvements to ensure efficiency.
  • Conduct program activities to gather data for strategic planning, decision-making, outcomes assessment, and reporting.
Program Support and Communications
  • Respond to inquiries via phone and email, providing excellent customer service and timely communication.
  • Work with the Public Affairs team and Project Director to create and distribute newsletters, press releases, social media content, and other materials showcasing grant achievements.
  • Contribute to the program’s visibility and success through thoughtful public communications.
  • Take on additional duties as needed to support the team and program objectives.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree with two years of related experience. Preferred fields of study include business administration, finance, communication, education, or related fields.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, electronic email, and calendar) and the Internet.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse population locally, state, and nationally.
  • Organized, detailed, self-starting, and able to handle multiple activities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience managing projects and events.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with federal grants and grants management.
  • Experience working in a community college or with individuals with a disability.
