Warehouse Supervisor - Capitol Heights, MD.
This position will have competitive salary.
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading warehouse associates and/or temp workers in warehouse operations and activities including the receiving, sorting, and scanning inbound freight. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring procedures and operations increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in a warehouse environment with frequent interruptions from team members and independent contractors, and regular high noise level.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & ABILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The attributes listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Provide leadership to warehouse associates
- Organize stocks and maintain inventory
- Inspect products for defects and damages
- Examine incoming freight
- Receive, unload, and place incoming inventory items appropriately
- Oversee the sort process to ensure it is done in an efficient manner
- Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations
- Collaborate with day shift transportation team
- Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures
- Keep warehouse clean and organized daily
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & ABILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The attributes listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Proficiency in inventory software, database, and systems
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Current forklift license or ability to obtain one
- High school degree or higher required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time
- Must be able to adapt and work in warm and cold temperature environment
- Must be able to maneuver and access all areas of the warehouse
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, and reach with arms
