Position is based at 316 N Main Street, Benton, AR 72015. Position requires availability Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with flexibility to work additional hours as needed. SUMMARY: The Closing Manager will manage closing associates in their office to ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction is being given. The incumbent will coach, lead, and manage the assigned team in meeting productivity targets and adhering to regulations and guidelines while maintaining quality initiatives. The incumbent will also promote and practice team culture in the achievement of production goals, objectives and provide direction and guidance to the assigned associates. The Closing Manager will serve as the subject matter expert and is responsible to maintain up-to-date knowledge on escrow and title products and services. The incumbent will manage a closing pipeline and follow ALTA’s Best Practices when processing, closing and overseeing the closing associates in efforts to protect WACO and to ensure the company’s assets are safeguarded. The Closing Manager will also serve as a resource to REALTORS® and lenders and assist in developing business within the community. ESSSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Manage and oversee the assigned closing associates by providing direction, leadership, motivation, coaching and assessment to ensure optimum team and individual performance in support of company and department goals. 2. Understand and monitor closing metrics to maintain successful, overall office productivity and customer pipelines. 3. Manage the closing production pipelines, as well as a personal pipeline, closings and overall performance individually and of the team for which they supervise. 4. Analyze the title insurance commitments, real estate contract, and lender requirements to determine what issues must be met before closings occur. 5. Facilitate escrow closings by explaining the documents to customers and obtaining required signatures. 6. Assist in preparation of the most complex Settlement Statements for closings including collaboration with the lender of the Closing Disclosure for final balancing of the file 7. Plan and establish processes, policies, and procedures to manage the closing team’s quality and efficient productivity. Foster teamwork and closing knowledge in all assigned branches to ensure a positive customer experience. 8. Allocate time and resources to ensure the training of the closing team meets industry standards. Provide associates with continuous on the job training. 9. Provide assistance and guidance to closing agents with difficult customer inquiries or problems. Work closely with the Closing Department Regional Operations Manager, Closing Department Regional Sales Manager, and/or other departments to resolve problems, issues or customer complaints. Forward a copy of all written complaints to the immediate supervisor. 10. Actively participate in the Closing Manager Peer Group and demonstrate strategic internal partnerships by active participation in joint calls with other associates, including Title Department Managers, Peer Group Managers / Supervisors and other members of leadership, as appropriate. 11. Serve as a subject matter expert resource to realtors, buyers/sellers, lenders, builders, and other customers regarding closing procedures. Expand existing business relationships with current customers and develop new business relationships within the industry. 12. Promote WACO generally in the public, by participating, preparing, or presenting or in seminars or information presentations for REALTORS®, builders, etc., and in area community programs, business groups and charitable organizations. 13. Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity. Associates Degree in a related field or equivalent experience or relevant military experience required. Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.
5 years of title related (closing preferred) experience required.
2 years of supervisory experience required.
Licensed Notary Public (or ability to obtain within 90 days) required.
Licensed Title Agent (or ability to obtain within one year) required.
Proven ability to develop and build Closing and Sales Pipeline required.
Exceptional consultative skills: ability to probe. listen, clarify, and present information to advance sales transactions, deepen relationships required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including influencing, conflict resolution and negotiating required.
Advanced knowledge of Commitment Requirements and Exceptions required.
