Job Title: Drywall Superintendent
Location: Nashville, TN, with travel to project sites in surrounding areas
Reports To: Project Manager
Salary Range:$57,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience
Job Overview
The Drywall Superintendent will oversee all aspects of drywall installation, finishing, and repairs on commercial and residential construction projects in Nashville, TN, and surrounding areas. This role is responsible for managing and coordinating drywall crews, working closely with project managers and other trades, and upholding quality and safety standards. The Drywall Superintendent will ensure efficient project scheduling, manage resources effectively, and maintain open communication across the team to facilitate smooth project execution. On-site field experience will be highly preferred for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage drywall installation projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and timely completion.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, adjusting as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure efficient workflow and timely material availability.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to uphold a safe and compliant work environment.
- Monitor material inventory, order supplies as needed, and manage resources effectively.
- Address on-site issues promptly and maintain clear communication with all project stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Project Manager to track project status, budget adherence, and any critical updates.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure work quality and compliance with local building codes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in drywall supervision or construction management.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- In-depth knowledge of drywall installation techniques, materials, and industry best practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in construction project management software.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality control.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- On-site field experience highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with commercial and residential drywall projects.
- Experience with construction project management software.
