Veterinary Assistant
Litchfield Veterinary Clinic is looking to hire an assistant for our 2 doctor, small animal exclusive practice. Working knowledge of general small animal practice is a must. The ideal candidate will work full time which includes some early evening and Saturday shifts. Duties include animal restraint and assisting with patient care during appointments and surgery, as well as specimen handling and record keeping. Additionally somes reception activities such as checking in/out patients, generating invoices, scheduling, answering phones, filling prescriptions and communicating with other practices will be expected. Our clinic is fast paced and the job can be very physical in nature. No two days of are the same! Someone who is a self starter and problem solver will thrive in this environment. We encourage growth and education.
Our clientel enjoys coming to our practice and getting to know all staff members. We are all like family!
We are not the pactice that remains working for hours after we close the doors. Being family owned, we respect our staff's personal time.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
