1. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Arkansas licensure as a registered nurse. Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.
2. Training and Classroom: Three years ED nursing experience. Previous experience in teaching desirable. Excellent verbal and written skills, with experience in public speaking. Successful completion of ACLS, PALS, BLS. Completion of TNCC with instructor recognition within 3 months.
3. Job Knowledge: Understanding of the principles of adult education. Clinical expertise in one or more nursing areas. An ability and willingness to work with associate’s growth and development needs across the life span providing educational programs specific to age of patients served.

DESCRIPTION:
The Trauma Clinical Coordinator (TCC) is responsible for assisting the Trauma Program Director in the coordination of comprehensive and integrated care of the trauma patient from prevention through rehabilitation. In addition, the TCC serves in a clinical consultant role to improve the knowledge and practice base of all staff providing care for trauma patients. They are accountable for the development and implementation of timely and effective in-services. Active in quality assurance, regulation preparedness and associate recruitment and retention. Designs nursing in-services which encourage excellence in nursing practice.
