Temporary Social Worker II -MSU
This position can be located anywhere in the state of Oklahoma
THIS POSITION IS A TEMPORARY CONTRACT POSITION
Social Worker II
Pay Rate: $22.10 per hour
Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain valid car insurance as an insured driver.
Basic purpose
This is a primarily remote Telework position. The candidate will need to provide a high-speed internet connection (not a hot spot) to work remotely. If a candidate cannot maintain connectivity, the candidate will be required to work from an OKDHS office.
This position will offer support for different groups that support ADvantage Waiver members. Advantage members are clients who need assistance to remain in their homes to prevent admittance to long-term care facilities.
This position will be analyzing, providing supporting information and case documentation and case actions for the following (among other tasks):
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required at this level include knowledge of social work principles and practices; of casework principles and methods; of current social and economic problems; of the principles of family economics and budgeting; of human relations; of community, state and national health and welfare resources; of psychological terminology; of the principles of interviewing; of social assistance requirements; of therapeutic treatment; and of psychiatric and medical terminology. Ability is required to deal effectively and courteously with people; to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations; to present ideas and facts effectively and accurately; to consult with staff and agencies; and to effectively treat social and emotional problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and experience required consists of a master's degree, or a bachelor's degree and one year of experience in professional social work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one additional year of experience in professional social work for each year of the bachelor's degree.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference may be given to applicants with previous experience with ADvantage Program.
NECESSARY CONNECTIVITY
Must be able to frequently lift up to 15 lbs for transporting computer.
Must have stable and reliable home internet (high-speed and not a hot spot) for telework or will be required to work in office.

- Escalated Issues Support - Determine the Status of Escalated Issues pending (Harmony system)
- Research active Critical Incidents and determine requirements needed for completion and/or assignments as needed.
- Research fraud, waste, and abuse.
