The Supply Technician Lead is responsible for conducting logistical operations in supply accountability and asset visibility procedures and in the resolution of issues encountered in the process. The Supply Technician Lead will serve as the team lead and subject matter expert for all logistical and supply management functions within the warehouse and will be expected to provide sound and precise data to leadership whenever solutions are required. The Supply Technician Lead will also need to have knowledge of operational policies and supply procedures to better support the customers.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
- Work with the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) to receive, issue and storage of class II, IV and IX repair parts.
- Able to work any section in the Supply Support Activity (SSA).
- The Supply Technician Lead will have knowledge of operational policies, procedures, and logistics goals.
- The Supply Technician will have knowledge of operational policies, procedures, and logistics goals.
- Conducts inventories including preparations, documentation, and reporting per prescribed regulations.
- Inspects completed transactions/work for accuracy and compliance with established policy and procedures.
- Maintains property and equipment IAW Army regulations, PWS, SOP, and Work Instructions.
- Inspects for damages, check items received against shipping documents and Post Goods Issue (PGI) receipts as appropriate.
- Maintain tracking matrix and coordinate shipment of material for logistical and lateral support.
- Manage the packing and subsequent shipping of material from the current stocks to distant areas of operations.
- Operates Material Handling Equipment (forklifts) 2,000-6,000lbs.
- Performs Preventative Maintenance Checks & Services (PMCS) before, during, and after use of forklifts.
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
- Standard office equipment, associated computer applications.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety vest, steel or composite shoes/boots, safety gloves, hard hat and eyewear in certain areas.
- Face Mask that covers the nose and mouth is required.
- Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
- There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
- Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to operate in a warehouse and outdoor type environment.
- Must be able to walk on uneven ground and within work various sites 6-8 hours a day in performance of duties.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
- GCSS-Army certified (Property Book or Unit Supply level), must be able to obtain within three months of employment
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must have a valid State Driver’s License with no restrictions.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport.
- Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Liberty Installation.
EXPERIENCE:
- Four (4) years or more experience in warehouse operations.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to interact at all levels.
- Forklift license and experience preferred
- Knowledge of the applicable GCSS-Army and regulatory supply systems.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and the use of Protected Personal Equipment and OSHA standards
- Other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
- Organizational skills, ability to prioritize, perform with a high degree of accuracy.
SKILLS:
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Word)
- Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism.
- Ability to work independently or in a team-based, highly collaborative environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
