Substitute Classroom Teacher (Part Time Position) for North West Arkansas
Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction to students in the absence of the regular teacher
- Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of instruction
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
- Manage student behavior and enforce classroom rules
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special needs, including those with autism
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning and development
- Implement curriculum and instructional activities that promote student engagement and learning
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to regular teachers
Skills:
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment
- Experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting
- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and strategies for supporting students with special needs
- Ability to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum
- Understanding of childhood development principles and practices
- Familiarity with various teaching methods and techniques for different subjects, including math
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
Note: This position is for substitute teachers in preschool or early childhood education settings.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 per week
