Title: Store Manager
Reports To: District Manager
Reporting to this Position: Assistant Store Manager, Jewelry Consultant, Sales Support and Inventory Control
Position Summary:
The Store Manager (SM) oversees day-to-day operations at a single store. Reporting to the District Manager (DM), the SM focuses on store sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, inventory control, brand representation, and team growth. By promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, the SM ensures a People First environment and exceptional customer experiences to build lifetime relationships.
Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Vision and Purpose: Communicates performance expectations, coaches’ staff, collaborates on strategy, and supports corporate initiatives to inspire team members.
Customer Obsession: Ensuring exceptional customer experiences by training team members, promoting clear communication, customer outreach, empowering them to resolve issues, and following up on customer requests.
Critical Thinking & Innovative Action: Achieving sales projections and quotas by developing strategies, analyzing reports, and staying informed about competitors. Includes recognizing strengths, addressing operational problems, and fostering open communication among Signet SMs. Additionally, focus on implementing behavior-changing initiatives and collaborating with others to create a shared objective environment.
Employee Experience: Involves talent selection, development, and emphasizing the Company’s People First vision. It includes onboarding, coaching, and ongoing development in various areas. Additionally, it focuses on communicating performance expectations, setting goals, and maintaining open communication with team members and management.

Position Qualifications:
Education Required: Minimum of 2 years of college preferred.
Job-Related Experience: at least 2 years of retail sales experience plus a minimum of 2-years retail management experience.
Preference will be given to candidates with specialty retail or jewelry experience.
Preference will be given to candidates that are Diamond Council of America (DCA) certified.
Technical/Other Skills Required: Advanced Communication skillset's, both written and verbal.
Proficient with computers, with advanced proficiency in MS Office and other related business, technology, and communication tools.
Strong interpersonal skills to build effective employee and customer relationships.
Advanced presentation skills to provide effective team member training and excellent customer presentations.
Strong problem solving and conflict management skills to support internal and external customers.
Ability to present themselves in a professional manner while communicating via email, social media, video conference, telephone, and text.
Ability to plan and organize tasks to meet deadlines and expectations.
Ability to work independently without immediate supervision.
Ability to effectively set priorities, develop a plan to meet goals and expectations and to effectively delegate to others for the success of the team.
Ability to understand and thoroughly explain detailed information.
Reliable and dependable.
Additional Language(s) Required: Bilingual skills are a plus.
Physical Demands:
While performing this job, the employee communicates with others and comprehends information. The role involves standing, reaching, handling merchandise, sitting, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 10 pounds. Visual acuity is necessary for assessing gemstone quality without the aid of a jeweler’s loupe. The standard workweek includes weekends, evenings, holidays, and extended hours. Travel for training sessions and business meetings may be required.
