Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Order Processing Specialist at National Custom Hollow Metal in Little Rock, AR. As an Order Processing Specialist, you will interpret customer-provided information and construct a fully detailed order satisfying customer, application, regulatory, and manufacturing requirements. This role involves efficiently and accurately processing customer orders into our ERP system, to our Solid Words system, to part share, and nested into a library to be fed to our manufacturing Amada Laser to cut out sheet metal parts to be manufactured. You will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, including the ability to interpret hardware templates and create detailed drawings using Solid Works 3D CAD software. Additionally, the role requires proactive communication with customers as needed to resolve engineering issues and ensure specifications are met. The Order Processing Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting manufacturing through precise documentation, CAD designs, ERP system management, process improvement idea generation and implantation, and adhering closely to company and industry standards. The Order Processing Specialist will also act as a technical expert for manufacturing production rules for door and frame modeling and, at times may need to coordinate with customers for profiles, blueprints, and drawings for manufacturing capabilities, and may be required to assist the Estimating Department during periods of high volume. Qualifications
Technical Drawing and Engineering Drawing skills
Proficiency in creating Architectural Drawings
Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
Attention to detail and accuracy in drawing creation
Knowledge of construction and manufacturing processes
Ability to interpret and implement design specifications
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Associate's degree in Drafting Technology or related field
Education and Experience Requirements: 1. A high school diploma or GED is required. 2.Preference given to those with a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Engineering, Business, or a related field. 3. Associate's degree, technical trade school degree in Computer Aided Drafting, mathematics, mechanical industrial engineering, or related field required. 4. Minimum of a certificate in Solid Works 3D CAD design. 5. Previous experience or exposure to working within the Door, building materials, and/or Hollow metal industries is highly desirable. 6. Previous experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage Intacct, Katana, ERPNExt, Odoo, etc. Preference is given to candidates with Proven Sys ERP experience. 7. Minimum two years of drafting/detail experience in a manufacturing environment. 8. Complex math and problem-solving skills are required, including a developed understanding of Algebra and Geometry. 9. At least 1 year of Solid Works Experience is required. Preference for candidates with Updated 9.4.24 V02 4 Solid Works Sheet Metal experience. 10. At least six months of experience working with Striker and/or Part Share programs. 11. At least six months experience of in reading and comprehending structural and architectural drawings is required. 12. Excellent computer skills required. (Microsoft 365 & its applications, use of One Drive, Teams, email, internet, and PC operating systems). 13. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, follow-up, and a sense of urgency are required. 14. Excellent communication skills required including verbal and written communication.
