We are currently seeking a qualified Social Worker, Social Services, Degreed to join our team. Role Responsibilities Plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the facility’s Social Services Department in accordance with current Federal, State, and Local standards, guidelines and regulations, our P&P’s, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the resident are met/maintained on an individual basis.
Requirements: Required Skills, Education, Licensure, and/or Certifications
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a bachelor’s degree in a human services field including, but not limited to, sociology, gerontology, special education, rehabilitation counseling and psychology and
One (1) year of supervised social work experience in a health care setting working directly with individuals
Current social work license in the State if applicable
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient computer skills
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
Preferred Experience
Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing facility, or other medical facility
Minimum one (1) year experience in a long-term care facility
