As a small group training instructor, you are responsible for leading high-energy, productive, specialized sessions to a group of 6-10 members and community participants. You will provide structure, accountability and camaraderie to help others achieve and celebrate their goals.
Schedule:
- Hours dependent on demand and studio availability
- No holidays
- Building hours range from 5am-9pm
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide class routines and music according to ACE, AFFFA, specific class certifying bodies and Y guidelines
- Lead energizing, fun and safe group training classes
- Willingness to sub and participate in special class events
- Maintain all required certifications
Certification Requirements:
- Group Exercise or Personal Trainer Certification: AFFA, ACE, ACSM, NASM SCW, YMCA or another accredited cert.
- CPR, AED, First Aid
- Child Abuse Prevention, Blood Borne Pathogens, Hazard Communication (must be obtained in the first 90 days)
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Proof of High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous experience preferred and demonstrated ability to lead group fitness, required
- Willingness to attend meetings, training, and obtain additional certification as requested
Physical Demands:
Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position including lifting 30 or more lbs.
