Position Description
The Shipping Expeditor reports to the Purchasing Manager and will be responsible for all shipping logistics coordination, assisting with special projects, supporting our offices in St. Croix and St Thomas/St. John and other duties.

Responsibilities

Effective completion of high-level administrative tasks.
Shipping and logistics duties including maintaining accurate procurement tracking status using Excel.
Assist all Managers with special projects.
Assist in resolving any administrative problems.
Run company's errands.
Answer calls from customers regarding their inquiries.
Provide support to the office and perform their duties as assigned.
Liaising with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Facilitating flow of assets and materials between various parties.

Essential Functions

Ability to juggle multiple projects with accuracy.
Exceptional customer service skills, over the phone and in person with vendors, shippers, customers and internal departments.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required Experience

High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Logistics coordination and shipping experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Ability to write, speak and interact clearly and professionally.
Must have reliable transportation and show up to work on time every day.
Must comply with all company safety and personnel policies.
Must be able to work overtime, holidays and weekends as required.
