Security Specialist
The Opportunity:
As a Security Specialist, you will lead the contract's security program, coordinating personnel suitability and if required the facilities accreditation processing and approvals with the government. On our team, you will manage security processes, educate personnel on security standards, and liaise with the government’s security organization. Your role will be central to a wide range of functions to protect sensitive, government classified information.

You Have:

Experience with classified handling, marking, and safeguarding access control and personnel and physical security investigative and adjudicative procedures

Experience with using personnel security databases to verify and process clearances

Experience with analyzing problems, conducting research, evaluating options for action, and providing thoughtful recommendations at a strategic level

Ability to consult leaders on security processes, risk indicators, and incident response and resolution

Ability to communicate in verbal and written forms effectively with multiple stakeholders

Ability to demonstrate initiative and creativity to provide recommendations to solve business problems

Ability to pay strict attention to detail

TS/SCI clearance

Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
-
Experience as a Department of Defense (Do D) personnel security specialist, Staff Security Officer (SSO), or Certified Staff Security Officer (CSSO)

Experience in working with a geographically dispersed team, including at OCONUS locations

Knowledge of classified data transfers

Ability to train and mentor peers and develop program-level security training

Possession of excellent leadership, organizational, time management, analytical, and critical thinking skills
-
Project Management Professional (PMP) or a similar Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
