Seasonal Pack and Ship Associate (Weekend Help)

Baseball Lifestyle 101 is a growing apparel company located in Farmingdale, New York. We pride ourselves on the community that we have built and the clothing that represents baseball fanatics everywhere. We believe the team we build today is the foundation for our future success.
The Seasonal Pack and Ship Associate is responsible for fulfilling orders by arranging inventory in shipping containers and preparing them for shipment. Duties include interpreting order invoices to determine which items need to be sent out, performing quality control assessments and stacking items safely and securely in the right packaging. The Seasonal Pack and Ship Associate will report directly to the Pack and Ship Manager.
*This position is a Seasonal Pack and Ship Associate with the possibility of a permanent position*
The Seasonal Pack and Ship Associate is responsible for the following:

Inspecting packages to ensure they are not damaged
Inspecting shipping containers to ensure they meet shipping regulations
Assembling daily orders by shipping location or any other shipping categories
Keeping records of packages including delivery notes, invoices, etc.
Filling out packing and order forms with the relevant shipping information
Sealing shipping containers and labeling them appropriately
Cleaning shipping containers and other shipping supplies
Maintains a clean and organized work space.
Contributes to a positive work environment.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center, preferred
Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as reach trucks and pallet jacks
Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
Strong attention to detail for quality control purposes
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
