The LPS SACC Program Aide is responsible for supervising elementary aged students under the guidance of a qualified leader, assistant manager or manager. This role is crucial in providing a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for elementary school students outside of regular school hours. The Program Aide will work closely with students, staff, parents, and school administration to ensure the program's success and adherence to established licensing guidelines.
Essential Duties
- Actively engages and interacts with children in the Child Care program in various settings.
- Assists with the supervision, monitoring and tracking of children in various settings.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment, adhering to all safety regulations and emergency procedures
- Encourage positive behavior and help maintain a respectful and inclusive atmosphere
- Follows all licensing and district policies and procedures for School Age Child Care.
- Greet parents and refer questions and concerns to the program manager when needed and appropriate
- Completes all tasks assigned by the Program Manager, Assistant Manager, or Activity Leaders.
- Must work directly under the supervision of the Program Manager, Assistant Manager, or Activity Leaders.
Other Duties
- Contributes ideas and helps prepare enriching activities for children in the program.
- Cleaning, organizing, and straightening areas as needed on a daily basis.
- Prepare and set up snacks according to licensing requirements, and assist with cleanup.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Experience
- Experience with children is preferred but not required.
Starting pay is $18.41 an hour.
