Sales Representative

Job Title: 12 Volt Car Audio Sales Representative

Location: St. George, Utah
Job Overview
SSV Works, a leader in audio solutions for Powersports and UTV vehicles, is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable 12 Volt Car Audio Sales Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for driving sales growth within our 12v car audio category by building and maintaining strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and retail partners. The ideal candidate is passionate about car audio, knowledgeable about the 12v market, and eager to expand SSV Works’ footprint in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Account Management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current 12v car audio dealers, distributors, and retail partners.
  • Conduct regular outreach to ensure consistent communication, identify sales opportunities, and support customers’ needs.
  • Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette while communicating with clients.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and educating customers on SSV Works’ products.
Dealer and Distributor Expansion
  • Identify and pursue new dealer and distributor partnerships to expand SSV Works’ market presence.
  • Coordinate and participate in product demonstrations, meetings, and events to engage new partners and drive product interest.
  • Build strong distributor relationships to support growth in the 12v audio market.
Product Knowledge and Training
  • Develop a deep understanding of SSV Works’ 12v car audio products, including features, applications, and competitive advantages.
  • Conduct training sessions for dealers and reps, focusing on product details, benefits, and installation practices to ensure knowledgeable promotion and support.
  • Collaborate with the product and marketing teams to stay updated on new product launches, features, and promotions.
Sales Support and Administration
  • Use SSV Works’ ERP system (Net Suite) to manage orders, run sales reports, and maintain accurate customer information.
  • Participate in updating sales programs, catalogs, and marketing materials to keep customers informed and engaged.
Market Research and Strategy
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to proactively identify opportunities and threats.
  • Provide feedback to the product and management teams on customer preferences, market gaps, and potential product improvements.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to strategize on promotional activities, product launches, and brand positioning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with the engineering team to gain insights into product specifications and assist in identifying new product opportunities.
  • Work with customer support and technical support teams to ensure customer satisfaction and address technical issues.
  • Regularly communicate with management to provide updates on sales activities, challenges, and opportunities.
Qualifications
Experience and Knowledge
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in 12v car audio sales, Powersports audio, or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of the 12v car audio market, including key players, product offerings, and customer expectations.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Net Suite experience is a plus).
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with customers and partners.
  • Strong sales skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and CRM tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Passion for audio solutions, UTVs, and Powersports markets.
  • Experience with product training and conducting demos.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with dealers, distributors, and attend industry events.
