Safety Coordinator

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting a safe work environment by implementing safety policies, conducting training sessions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety within the organization.
Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs that comply with OSHA regulations and industry standards.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Provide training and development for employees on safety protocols, first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures.
Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents, investigations, and root cause analyses.
Collaborate with management to create strategies for improving workplace safety and reducing workers' compensation claims.
Maintain accurate records of safety training sessions, incidents, and compliance documentation.
Act as the primary point of contact for all occupational health and environmental health and safety (EHS) matters.

Experience

Proven experience in a safety coordinator or similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation processes, and occupational health standards.
Experience in report writing and documentation related to safety compliance.
Familiarity with training development techniques to effectively educate employees on safety practices.
Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred; additional certifications related to EHS are a plus.
Ability to fabricate solutions for safety challenges as they arise.
