Required Experience:

• 1.5 years general nursing experience (system requirement)
• BSN required
• Must be PCU Level RN, willing to float to Med Surg/Tele

Patient Types:

• Orthopedics, Neuro (Stroke, TIA), Surgical, Medical (UTI, Pneumonia), Intermediate Care (Sepsis, DKA, Alcohol Withdrawal), Oncology, Heart & Vascular (Chest Pain, Heart Failure, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath)

Patient Ratios:

• RN: 1:4-5

Required Certifications:

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Required Education:

• BSN required
• Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

Skills Required:

• Experience with titration of drips: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levo, Dopamine, Insulin
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV starts, Blood product administration
• CIWA, drain/tube management, catheter insertion/management, continuous bladder irrigation, chest tube maintenance
• Experience with Cardiac procedural recovery (CABG/TAVR/post Cardiac Cath)

Unit Support:

• CNA, Charge Nurse, Phlebotomy, RT, Hospitalist available 24/7

Charting System/Equipment:

• Epic (manager approval needed if no experience)
• Omnicell, Alaris IV pumps

Floating:

• Float routinely between Ortho, Neuro, Surgical, Medical, Progressive Care, Oncology, and Heart and Vascular units

Orientation:

• Facility x 2 days
• Unit x 3 shifts

Pay: $2,782.00 - $3,238.00 per week
