Job Overview
The Replenishment Associate plays a vital role in ensuring that inventory levels are maintained efficiently and effectively. This position involves managing the flow of materials and products to meet production demands while optimizing stock levels. The ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain management and inventory control systems, with a strong understanding of materials management processes.
REPLENISHMENT PURCHASING
Purchase items (e.g. grocery, bulk, dairy, and/or frozen food goods) from assigned vendors in the most efficient manner and arrange for timely delivery.
Analyze reports and purchasing software systems data to ensure most efficient purchasing processes; make purchasing decisions based on the analysis of reporting and forecasting.
Review buying reports to maintain inventory levels, make effective purchasing decisions and to ensure department meets or exceeds company standards for budget, inventory levels and turns.
Identify and disposition slow-moving and/or obsolete inventory.
Maintain accurate, comprehensive data in the buying system; work with data integrity and other cross-functional buying teams to update information, as necessary.
Review and maintain accurate merchandise levels based on analysis of trends to execute seasonal and promotional strategies as assigned.
Collaborate with vendors to discuss major upcoming promotions and new items.
DEPARTMENT MAINTENANCE
Provide support in the grocery area by pulling back stock and re-pricing of goods.
Participate, as assigned, in processing and shelving incoming product deliveries.
Responsible for accurate labeling of products with shelf tags, price stickers and/or signs.
Report any pricing discrepancies to Grocery Manager, following established procedures.
Ensure that grocery displays, aisles and storage areas are clean and in orderly condition.
Ensure that products are in saleable condition when on the shelf; this includes checking codes, rotating products, and removing damaged or out-of-date stock.
Ensure that unsellable items are returned or otherwise properly disposed of, following established procedures. Keep accurate shrinkage records.
Ensure that items are maintained in an in-stock, on-the-shelf, fully fronted position with special attention paid to high-volume products and product categories as well as endcaps, special displays, and items on sale.
Responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality for products sold and ensuring that best practices for culling, storage and display are upheld.
Participate in inventory counts.
Responsible for performing opening and closing procedures as assigned.
Requirements
Proven experience in inventory management or supply chain management is preferred.
Familiarity with materials management principles is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data related to optimum stock levels and inventory control.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders within the organization.
