Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re looking to hire a UI PROGRAMMER for a GAME STUDIO CLIENT.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with the team to design, implement, and deliver high-quality user interfaces for both KBM and gamepad inputs.
Break down design objectives into smaller technical tasks, assess scope and estimates, and provide insights on feasibility and user experience.
Take ownership of UI features, proactively identifying dependencies and potential issues.
Utilize standard tools to profile UI systems and optimize performance in terms of speed and memory usage.
Ensure compliance with UI/UX certification requirements and support localization processes.
Participate in code reviews to catch potential bugs and enhance overall code quality.

Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in C++ programming and code design patterns.
Experience with Unreal UMG and debugging tools, such as Widget Reflector.
Familiarity with Unreal’s localization tools.
Over 3 years of relevant experience in the game industry.
At least one shipped title in a similar position.
Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate effectively on feature development.
Self-motivated, energetic team player who fosters a positive and inclusive team environment.

Bonus Points:

Knowledge of Unreal Slate and UI functionality within the engine.
Experience in cross-platform development, particularly with consoles.
Background in multiplayer game development.
