JOB SUMMARY: Provide administrative assistance, clerical support and receptionist duties for the High School Administration Office. Assist with daily operations, greets the public, operation of the central telephone console, and provides information on School District programs and services. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as administrative receptionist, screens and answers calls and provides routine information about School District services and directs callers to appropriate staff, departments, and buildings.
Administers telephone voice mail system.
Creates, edits, and files various documents for the High School Administration. Provides secretarial support for High School Administrators.
Retrieves and sorts daily mail, prepares outgoing mail pick up, and receives package deliveries.
Monitor visitors to the building, granting access, as necessary.
Responsible for coordinating mail processing machines.
Provides clerical and task-oriented support to staff.
Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience as a secretary necessary
High school diploma or equivalent is required with courses in general office procedure; or an acceptable combination of education and experience
Submission of pre-employment medical examination (Section 148 of the Pennsylvania School Code)
Submission of a report of criminal history record from the Pennsylvania State Police (Section 111 of the Pennsylvania School Code)
Submission of a clearance report from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare in accordance with Act 151 of 1994
Submission of Federal Criminal History Record in accordance with Act 114 of 2006
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
