The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.
Position Description:
Comply and perform proper methods of loading and unloading various cargos, including hazardous and nonhazardous materials, to include connecting and disconnecting loading and unloading hoses, pressure hose, and product pump; monitoring gauges; opening and closing valves; and gauging depth of product in cargo tank and/or storage tanks.
Ensure the correct gallons and grades are safely being loaded and delivered at the correct location.
Safely drive to and from various locations as dispatched.
Provide fantastic customer service.
Follow all Department of Transportation safety regulations, all loading facility rules, and all applicable laws at all times.
Maintain, clean, and perform regular inspections of all company owned and leased equipment.
Maintain qualification to drive through mandatory physicals, drug screens, license renewals, etc.
Knowledge and Skills Class A commercial driver’s license with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
Two years of CDL driving experience with hazmat and safe record.
Maintain qualification to drive as mandated by the Department of Transportation.
Thorough understanding of hazardous materials pick-up and delivery procedures.
Understanding of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations with an emphasis on the Hazardous Materials section of the regulations.
Must be able to work day shift, night shift, weekends, and holidays. The fuel transportation business is 24/7/365.
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time driving.
Must be able to bend, lift, carry, connect, disconnect, mount, and dismount heavy pieces of equipment (i.e. commercial grade fuel delivery hoses) and without creating a safety hazard.
Maintain authorization to load and unload product at facilities we conduct business with once authorized in the training process.
