Inspects a variety of incoming materials, parts, and packaged goods to determine if they meet established specifications; documents variances, provides analysis, and assists with the proper disposition of non-conforming material. Performs in-process inspections and testing duties to ensure that all products meet or exceed customer specifications and quality requirements. Assist quality leadership with development and implementation of a Supplier Quality Assurance program. Help to ensure capable processes through statistical analysis.
This is a second shift position with hours of Monday - Thursday 4 pm to 2:30 am
Essential Job Functions *
- Performs complex visual and dimensional inspections on incoming and first article inspections as well as during in-process inspection.
- Performs visual and bar code scanning and verification on incoming goods as well as in-process label printing.
- Enters data on control charts and documents out-of-print dimensions. Notifies Lead when inspection data does not meet acceptable limits.
- Maintains inspection and auditing records, mechanical drawings and procedure manuals as well as creates non-conforming material reports using the NCMR system.
- Uses calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, comparators, pin and force gauges, surface plates, drop indicators, height gauges, gauge blocks, eye loupes, Rockwell hardness testers, steel rulers, CMM and other related inspection equipment and hand trucks and pallet jacks to perform work.
- Adjust output or indication of various instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy of the measurements taken using the equipment. Maintains records of accuracy. (“If Applicable”)
- Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment.

Education & Experience
High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
