Allsynx has an immediate opening for a REMOTE Quality Assurance Specialist. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will test the employee benefits portal and online benefits enrollment platforms for functionality, aesthetics, and overall accuracy according to system parameters and client specifications. This includes system configuration during the client’s enrollment period as well as changes and requests outside of enrollment. A Quality Assurance Specialist works under immediate supervision. Relies on instructions and preestablished guidelines to perform functions of the job. Some independent judgment within these instructions and guidelines is expected. Responsibilities:
Extraction of data files used to test for accuracy
Testing of employee benefits portal and online enrollment system based on standards and provided documentation
Concisely and professionally reports defects and conveys questions regarding accuracy of system configuration
Display basic level of proficiency in reading and interpreting provided plan documentation, enrollment system configuration, and plan setup configuration
Utilize introductory knowledge of system tools and features
Participate in system walkthroughs, inspections, and reviews
Maintain implementation and standards documentation
Troubleshoot issues within position knowledge base
Recommend and implement process improvement practices
Plan, estimate and track time for assigned projects
Internal communication with other positions, teams and departments to accomplish goals
Communication with other positions, teams and departments as well as direct carrier communication to ensure correct configuration according to carrier compliance requirements
Some overtime will be required. When possible, this overtime will be evenly distributed among all team members.
Some travel may be required
Experience and Skills
0 – 2 years of experience in the field or a related area
Requires an Associates' Degree
Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office products
Able to complete assigned cases and projects within pre-defined timelines
Able to perform research and self-training for system tools, features, enhancements, and related areas
Team player possessing a positive, self-motivated attitude.
Strong attention to detail, logical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills required
Some off-hours support will be required
