Quality Assurance Assistant $20 - $27

Express Employment is looking for a Quality Assurance Assistant.
Work Hours: Work Hours Vary
Location: Oroville, Ca

Job Description:

Perform daily SSOP inspections, report deficiencies and follow through on corrective actions
Perform routine equipment calibration checks, pre-ops and sanitation swabbing on all production lines
Perform sampling procedures on raw materials, work-in-process, rework, finished goods to conduct quality checks for specification compliance
Read and comprehend product specifications and follow through to ensure finished products meet customer requirements and quality standards
Perform routine quality control test procedures for prunes and juice including moisture, sorbate, pits, pound count and other tests as required
Perform routine quality control checks on temperature charts and digital readouts
Perform routine packaging inspections including net weights, package code, label inspections, package quality
Perform routine HACCP monitoring
Communicate directly with Production Manager on results of testing and inspections to ensure quality specifications are met
Place products on hold that do not meet specifications
Collect retention samples and maintain library
Enter QC data into CIR database and generate certificate of analysis for customers
Perform routine microbiological plating
Monitor plant employees for compliance to company GMP standards
Maintain accurate documentation of all test results, inspections and observations, corrective actions and other activities that affect product safety, legality, and quality
Understand and follow GMP, good housekeeping, occupational safety and health, chemical awareness, MSDS, good laboratory practices
Other activities and duties as assigned
