POSITION SUMMARY The Project Scheduler will support planning and scheduling activities for construction projects by applying diversified controls, systems, principles, and practices.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand and implement accepted planning and scheduling best practices.Plan and coordinate scheduling activities of a given project.
Work closely with the Project Managers, and other team members to develop and maintain schedules in all project phases.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and contracts to prepare and accept usable baseline schedules for construction.
Effectively create cost and man power load schedules for use during the execution of the project.
Evaluate the actual construction status relative to the proposed plan.
Analyze and communicate the impact of changes to the schedule.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management or Engineering (or in a related field)
Certification as a PMI scheduling professional (PMI-SP) or CAPM will be advantageous.
A minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a project scheduler in a related industry or as a Project Manager in a related industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Project scheduling software.
Extensive experience in schedule planning and management.
In-depth knowledge of the scope of projects within the Building Automation industry.
Advanced ability to evaluate project progress and facilitate interventions.
Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
An understanding of critical path methodology to ensure, and communicate, timely delivery of milestone tasks
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure (timelines and deadlines) when required
Detail-oriented and can manage priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance.
Skilled at developing and maintaining relationships with owners, subcontractors, senior leaders, and project teams.
High degree of initiative, personal responsibility, and integrity.
