Job Title: Project Manager - EHR System Implementation
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for a skilled nursing facility and residential home. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex healthcare IT projects, a deep understanding of EHR systems and their impact on clinical workflows, and the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse team of stakeholders.
Location: Onsite in Rocky Hill, CT
Hours: 24 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Manage Project Plan: Create and oversee a comprehensive project plan for the EHR system implementation, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of the project, including vendor selection, system configuration, data migration, user training, and go-live support.
- Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate a team of IT and clinical professionals to ensure the successful implementation of the EHR system.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide ongoing project updates and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the implementation process.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure the EHR system meets all requirements and functions as intended.
- Training Development: Develop and implement training materials and programs to ensure all users are proficient in using the new EHR system.
- Support and Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to address user issues and ensure the EHR system is functioning optimally.
- Progress Tracking: Track and report on project progress and metrics to demonstrate the success of the EHR implementation.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in EHR Systems: Must be proficient in EHR application.
- Skilled Nursing Experience: Must have experience in skilled nursing.
- Clinical Expertise: Clinical expertise related to long-term care.
- Data Migration: Ability to verify accurate data migration.
- HL7 Interfaces: Experience with HL7 interfaces.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of CMS (Medicare/Medicaid) regulations as it pertains to skilled nursing facilities (clinical and fiscal requirements).
- Project Management Skills: Proven ability to develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse team of stakeholders.
- Understanding of Clinical Workflows: Strong understanding of EHR systems, clinical workflows, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
-Project Management Methodologies: Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
- System Integration: Experience with data migration and system integration.
- Training and Support: Proven ability to train and support end-users on new IT systems.
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field.
- Certification: PMP certification is preferred.
Additional Information:
-The position requires working onsite in Rocky Hill, CT, for 24 hours per week.
- The Project Manager will e responsible for ensuring the smooth implementation and functioning of the new EHR system while collaborating closely with both IT and clinical teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $37.00 - $64.00 per hour
