Job Overview:
Project Managers are responsible for various roofing related tasks, including, but not limited to: jobsite management, overseeing/scheduling/hiring subs, ordering materials, diagnostic services, quality inspections pre and post install or repair.
Responsibilities
- Ability to manage subcontractors and vendors.
- Ability to negotiate and track change orders with both homeowners and subcontractors.
- Ensure accurate completion of project scope.
- Ability to meet timelines.
- Conduct on-site assessments of roofing needs and evaluate the condition of existing roofs.
- Discuss roofing options and solutions with customers, addressing their concerns and answering questions.
- Must maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and accurately report daily details of activities using company software.
- Ability to take pictures and document roof conditions and repairs using company software and phone/tablet
- Stay up to date on the latest products, materials, and technologies.
- Provide customers with information on the benefits of different roofing options.
- Identify potential problems with existing roof systems of various types and ages.
- Assess the condition of the roof and recommend repair or replacement solutions.
- Ability to handle a ladder and lift materials.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements and willingness to follow requirements when working on roofs.
Punch List Completion:
- Collaborate with the roofing team, office, and customer to ensure the successful execution of roofing projects, including completion of punch list items.
- Communicate project details with roofing team members, the office, and customer in a timely manner.
- Perform QA inspections of recently completed production jobs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in the roofing or construction industry (commercial or residential).
- Comfortable driving a truck and able to pull a trailer.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license
- Successful completion of background check.
- Positive outlook and attitude
- Ability to climb a ladder and comfortable working at heights and lift up to 75lbs
- Knowledge of roofing materials, products, and installation processes.
- Knowledge of safety requirements and guidelines (OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 preferred).
- Bilingual highly preferred.
