Production Supervisor - Harvest

Overview:

Cimpl Meats, LLC., an American Foods Group Company, has an opportunity for a Harvest Production Supervisor at our Yankton, SD plant.

As our Harvest Production Supervisor, you will:

Supervise and develop 20+ production employees within the facility teaching essential skills and teamwork.
Ensure plant is compliant with governmental and customer regulatory requirements and procedures by enforcing GMP’s, food safety, and workplace safety rules.
Assist with the crewing to meet production requirements.
Work with plant leadership team to increase employee success and minimize turnover.
Generate daily production schedules and production reports.
Display a strong work ethic and a professional attitude and appearance.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

2 years harvest/kill production experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Must be able to perform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required. Start times and hours vary based on production needs.
Demonstrated ability to pass knowledge and skills to hourly production employees to create a training and succession plan.
Must have a high math aptitude; be assertive; and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior lead or supervisor experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork, or poultry facility.
Ability to effectively communicate in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of SQF, GMP, SOP, HACCP, and OSHA regulations.
Strong computer skills: ability to use designated programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing with all levels of employees from hourly to upper management across the organization, as well as government officials.
Ability to perform consistent, accurate work with minimal direction and work successfully as part of a team.
