Mission of the Role Supports plant leadership in the areas of Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Production. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, self-motivated, can react to changing priorities, and exercises good judgement. Key Responsibilities
Monitors production and performs quality and safety control checks for adherence to policies
Reviews and evaluates manufacturing, shipping, and administrative procedures regarding safety, quality, and efficiency to drive process improvement across the business
Works in tandem with project leaders to develop solutions to internal quality and safety issues
Manage quality issues and propose solutions through quality complaint system
Trains employees on quality control, safety and food safety principles on hire, at the monthly meetings and when processes are revised
Maintains Supply One Food Safety Quality Management System (FSQM), GMP and SQF programs including food Safety files, paperwork and compliance with GMP food safety requirements
Prepares correspondence related to corrective actions, audit compliance, timelines for required activities, product quality complaints, etc.
Conduct mock recalls / Ensure proper trace-back information is in place for suppliers
Safety Responsibilities:
Maintain and improve the frameworks for hazard identification and risk management
Identify and prevent workplace health and safety hazards by creating and reviewing safety plans, including SOPs, work instructions, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) as directed by plant leadership
Maintain employee safety training schedule and complete all mandatory OSHA training topics
Work with HR to maintain and improve the employee safety on-boarding process.
Manage safety related incidents including preparation and presentation of incident and accident reports to determine root causes and develop proactive preventative safety measures.
Maintain the chemical control and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Program as required by OSHA
Maintain state and federal, OHSA, and Supply One safety regulatory compliance and initiatives.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Ability Requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
Effective communicator, both in writing and verbally, across various mediums (phone, in-person).
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Proven ability to analyze complex situations and develop solutions that benefit the company.
Preferred experience in quality assurance, safety, or food safety.
