Title: Sorter/Processor The Sorter/Processor will perform a variety of functions in order to assist in the operation of the sorting room. Duties and Responsibilities: General 1. Assist as required with sorting room operation. 2. Cross train in all sorting room functions under the guidance of the Sorting Room Supervisor. 3. Other duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor and/or Administrator. Sorter 1. Process and sort donations by inspecting and separating saleable from unsaleable items. 2. Deliver a minimum of 300 store quality garments per hour. 3. Categorize and box seasonal clothing, bric, and shoes. Hanger/Tagger 1. Process, hang, and tag all sorted merchandise. 2. Deliver a minimum of 225 hung garments per hour. 3. Ensure clothes are hung according to policy and on proper hanger. 4. Ensure that tag is properly placed on garment according to Salvation Army policy Bric a Brac 1. Sort and clean all saleable miscellaneous merchandise donations daily.
2. Ticket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each item.
3. Place and maintain all merchandise in the required order and manner.
Shoes/Accessories 1. Sort and clean all saleable shoes, handbags and accessory donations daily. 2. Ticket all merchandise Domestics 1. Sort and measure all saleable linen items daily as required 2. Ticket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each item. Qualifications: 1. Processing experience preferred. 2. Must be at least 18 years of age. 3. Ability to stand for long periods. 4. Can lift up to 50 pounds. Must be available to work 4 hour shift 12:00pm - 4:00pm Monday through Thursday Job Type: Part-time Pay: $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 16 per week Benefits:
