PRN Hospitalist - Nurse Practitioner - Des Moines, IA

Unity Point Clinic is actively recruiting for PRN Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Des Moines, IA.

Established team of 33 physicians and 13 Advanced Practitioners
Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff
PRN – 10-12 hours shifts
- Day, swing and night shifts available

Closed ICU
Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

Responsibilities:

Average of 10-12 patients per day; no nights or weekends
Dedicated admitters and dedicated hospitalist nursing staff
No procedures and no codes
Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications:

Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Training REQUIRED
Board Certified
Experience preferred
Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of State
Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
Eligible to work in the United States
