Monday-Friday - flexible hours between 7AM-5PM

Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervisor of the Prior Authorization Supervisor: performs assigned duties, including telephonic & online support of home health authorization of routine services, contacting specialty care providers, and performing online data entry of routine authorizations/denials.

Contact insurance providers with initial and continued authorization requests for home health services and denials, as applicable.
Establish effective rapport and works closely with QA, HCC, Administration, Clinical, and Billing teams to ensure that all patients have authorization for services performed.
Assists in gathering clinical information needed for insurance providers to determine need for home health services for patient.

Qualifications:

High School equivalent or diploma
All staff are expected to participate in appropriate continuing education as may be requested and/or required by their immediate supervisor. In addition, staff are expected to accept personal responsibility for other educational activities to enhance job-related skills and abilities. All staff must attend mandatory educational programs.
Proficient in Microsoft office software
Excellent customer service skills.
