Job Description:
The Personal Banker provides customers with financial transactions that are a “Wow” experience including opening, selling, and servicing deposit accounts and personal loans.

HOURS:
M-F, between 8a-4p
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Deposit:
-
Open various new accounts, process necessary information, and educate the customers as to services/products available.

Use every customer contact as an opportunity to advise customer about additional services or programs that may benefit them.

Accountable for cash drawer; locking cash drawer; balancing currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift; and reporting any discrepancies to supervisor.

Answers basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations, and consumer privacy policies.
Lending:

Interview lending customers to obtain financial history. Analyze information and sell customers on the products and services that best meet their needs.

Prepare personal loan applications completely, accurately and in accordance with Federal guidelines and the Bank’s policies and procedures.

Consistently inform and sell customers on credit life and disability insurance and GAP insurance.

Provide a “Wow” customer service experience for team members and customers.

Develop and maintain productive relationships with team members, leaders, customers, and vendors.

Prompt and reliable attendance is essential in order to provide expected levels of service.

Must comply with all Gate City Bank policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.

Must be detailed-oriented and maintain high degree of accuracy.

Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years college or technical school; 2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
