Responsibilities
- Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals in distress, ensuring their immediate safety and well-being.
- Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop appropriate action plans.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients towards positive behavioral changes.
- Offer mentoring and guidance to clients navigating addiction recovery or mental health challenges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment plans in accordance with organizational policies.
- Stay informed about community resources and systems that can assist clients in their recovery journey.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral health support.
- A background in social work, mental health counseling, or related fields is preferred.
- Experience in crisis management and intervention strategies is essential.
- Familiarity with addiction counseling practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- Prior experience in mentoring or providing support within a behavioral health context is advantageous.
- Knowledge of systems relevant to mental health services and community resources is beneficial.
