Peer Recovery Coach
Job Description: Peer Coach
Summary of Job Function: Recovery coaches perform a wide range of tasks that are designed to assist clients in recovery by sharing his/her own personal experience in dealing with mental illness and/or substance abuse while also adhering to professional code of conduct.
Job Specifications:
Education, Certification/License, and/or Experience
1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Ohio Peer Support Certification Required.
3. Strong knowledge of 12 Step programs and recovery resources in the community.
4. Must attain/maintain CPR/FA during employment.
5. Must have a valid driver’s license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients or employees of organization.
**Pre-employment drug screen required. **
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
