This expansion increased emergency and trauma services, as well as the surgical unit and intensive care offerings.

Responsibilities
Position floats between Chandler Regional Medical Center and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center
At Dignity Health Chandler Regional Medical Center we deliver humankindness through a wide range of health social and support services in the heart of Chandler Arizona. As part of our team you will provide clinical expertise; support and oversight that helps ensure our patients receive exceptional care. The Patient Care Technician performs patient related care tasks. Assists patients with activities of daily living and provides direct patient care under supervision of Nurse. Obtains and records patient vital signs. Monitors and records daily intake and output. Obtains specimens, including non-invasive body fluids and blood specimens. Performs EKGs and blood glucose monitoring. Monitors and performs actions to decrease patient length of stay including but not limited to: performing timely designated discharge duties, and communicating discharge information to appropriate staff. Assists Physician/Nurse with diagnostic tests, clinical procedures, and other tasks as requested. Communicates patient needs and observed/reported changes in patient condition to supervising Nurse or Physician. Documents all interactions in patient's medical record.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Completion of first block of nursing school
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current American Heart Association BLS card
- Knowledgeable in medical terminology
Preferred:
- Two (2) year acute care experience.
- Previous experience with a patient care module or personal computer.
Pay Range
$18.38 - $25.28 /hour
