JOB TITLE: HELP, Inc Custodian and Warehouse hand
ORGANIZATION: HELP INC Food Resource Center

SUMMARY:
Under supervision of the Warehouse manager, the custodian and warehouse hand position will be responsible for cleaning, organizing, and maintaining safe working conditions (cleaning up spills, debris, trash, etc.) in all areas of the Food Resource center as assigned by the Warehouse Manager, and if needed, the Executive director. The duties and responsibilities highlighted below are just a snapshot of what will be expected during working hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: HELP, Inc Custodian and Warehouse hand
· Sweep, Mop, disinfect floors in waiting room, office, and store area.
· Empty and wipe down trash cans once a daily and disinfect once a week.
· Dust desks, tables, cabinets, store area shelves, tops of partitions and file cabinets twice a month.
· Clean the volunteer/employee kitchen (counter, scour sink, pull out movable island, sweep and mop) as needed.
· Assist with food inventory, gather proper weight on all items.
· Ensure shelves are stocked (including walk in freezer, fridge, food pantry shelves, and dry storage), as instructed by warehouse manager or supervisor.
· Maintain outside premises. this includes picking up trash, cigarettes butts, sweep, power wash off concrete landing, dry storage and warehouse as needed.
· Assist the volunteers when needed. This includes helping load groceries into client's cars. .
· Attend staff meetings as required.
· Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be able to stand and walk for periods of time.
· Adhere to safety standards set in place by Help, Inc
· Experience working in for a nonprofit a plus.
· Ability to lift 50 pounds and bend.
· Must be able to interact with community members.
· Must be able to attend mandated trainings set by our partner, Regional Food bank of Oklahoma.
· Clean driver record. This position will serve as a backup driver when needed for retail recovery pick ups.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age, and have a clean driving record.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: There may be extended periods of standing and/or bending; listening, talking and/or visual concentration; While performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely exposed to outside weather conditions.
Must be able to lift upwards of 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
SCHEDULE: up to* 25 hours per week plus seasonal events. Flexibility of days worked. Perfect for a second job, a WTC student, or someone wanting to get back in the workforce.
COMPENSATION: Anticipated pay rate per hour based on education and experience; may increase based on job performance; subject to available funding and managerial approval. 6-month probation period. Please be aware this position does not offer benefits.
