Outside Sales Representative-Storm Water & Construction Products
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Outside Sales Representative to drive growth in our Steel/Plastic Culvert category as well as our geotextile, geogrid, and erosion control products. In this role, you will support the team’s efforts to increase market share and expand product acceptance by working closely with contractors, design engineers, government entities, and municipalities in our target geographic area.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, engineers, distributors, and municipal representatives to drive awareness and adoption of our products.
Support senior management by researching and analyzing local market trends and competitive product offerings.
Assist in coordinating with internal teams and external contacts to ensure that project and product specifications meet requirements.
Participate in relevant industry organizations and events to increase brand visibility and build industry connections.
Work with the sales team to establish and maintain pricing strategies that align with market demands and client needs.
Help implement and refine go-to-market strategies, ensuring that product mixes reflect regional market requirements.
Contribute to sales forecasting, planning, and strategic initiatives in collaboration with sales leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3-5 years of relevant sales experience or customer-facing role preferred.
Willingness to travel within the assigned geographic area.
Basic understanding of sales fundamentals, with a strong desire to learn about finance, operations, and product management.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with key contacts.
Willingness to engage with contractors, government agencies, and municipalities and develop a deeper understanding of their needs.
Familiarity or interest in the stormwater and construction products industry.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to new challenges and market changes.
