is currently seeking to hire an experienced Operation Manager for our team of “Ambassadors.” Levis Commons is a unique open air mall located near Toledo, OH. It offers a refreshing shopping experience with distinctive stores and unparalleled entertainment, unique dining and a new way to live, work and play. A very unique and inviting experience filled with hospitality, exciting much sought after shops and a busy year-round events schedule.
This role encompasses all the usual functions of an Operational professional but with a wonderful twist- extreme hospitality! Block by Block contracts with this unique shopping playground to provide safety and hospitality year-round to provide a happy hub of activity and unique experiences. We need someone who understands that safety, hospitality and cleanliness is all needed to provide an inviting experience to be worthy of a repeat visit! This center isn’t just a shopping experience, it’s a place to gather, enjoy entertainment and to seek community.
Specific daily responsibilities of the Operations Manager may include:

Specific daily responsibilities of the Operations Manager may include:
- Coordinate recruitment, selection of candidates, and Onboarding and training of all new Ambassadors. Our culture is very important to us and we need someone that will create a work family and not just a schedule.
- Continual adjustments to the deployment of resources to match changing needs. This includes resources of the “human kind.” Basically, redeploying according to daily needs or cleaning schedules.
- Continual problem identification and solving to improve the quality of the program. Problem solving is a very big part of what our Operation Managers do. We need an innovator to lead our teams and improve resident and business experience in Midtown Baltimore!
- Procurement and Inventory of supplies and equipment. It takes tools to get the job done quickly and efficiently. Handyman skills or working knowledge of how to maintain equipment is a plus.
- Reporting outcomes through a variety of reporting channels; (This means spreadsheets, Kronos Timekeeping, Budgets…you get the idea.)
- Hands-on working management in the field to provide coaching, mentoring, and continuous training on standard policies and procedures.
- YOU LIKE TO HAVE FUN AND MAKE PEOPLE SMILE! WE ARE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERTS that engage on a very high level with the general public so we need great personalities to lead our teams. A good sense of humor helps.
- You have solid work history and longevity of at least 3-5 years at your last employer; we prefer 5 continuous years
- You have supervised a medium sized team
- You enjoy working outside in all weather. Yes, all weather.
- You are a problem solver. Remember, we need innovators.
- You know what Quality Assurance means…This means exceeding client expectations, exceeding the Ambassadors expectations
- You have “a little dirt never hurt anybody” mindset. (You’re going to get dirty a lot)
- You know how to manage people and work in a team setting. (Team building and creating a culture is very important to us)
- You have a “do what is right” mindset. Integrity is a must!
- You like a varied work schedule. Events will happen in this city and things will get dirty.
- Tend to be indecisive and have trouble making quick, effective decisions. (We can’t hold your hands. You have to be strong.)
- If you are inflexible and can’t work outside of a M-F 9-5 position when necessary
- Do not like talking to people, love to make their day, or prefer to work alone. (This is not that job.)
- Like to sit at a desk and file papers all day, because this is not that job.
- Like to know exactly what your day will be like, because this is not that job.
