POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibilities of this role include processing account orders, monitoring incoming shipments throughout transit, and effectively communicating relevant information to the sales team regarding shipment timing to meet customer deadlines. This position requires interaction with various departments including sales, account service, operations (production planning), purchasing, finance, and IT. Description of Duties
Track the status of incoming orders from suppliers once they are in transit and promptly alert sales of any potential concerns.
Attend Operations/Production Planning meetings to provide updates on the status of current and future orders.
Distribute customer orders to the operations order processing team promptly to ensure customer-required ship dates are met.
Act as a liaison with sales team members regarding factory shipments and deliveries once they are in transit.
Generate sample pulls and fixture pick tickets for all relevant departments.
Prepare packing slips for outgoing shipments.
Review account information from customer websites to update and monitor account requirements.
Provide tracking numbers for customer shipments.
Check inventory before processing orders and address any issues by collaborating with Sales Support.
Create orders for vendor production.
Generate work orders for reticketing of goods and reworking in-house goods.
Review customer orders received either from EDI transmissions or manual orders.
Maintain customer records in the system, updating base prices, cross-references, and the address book.
Communicate with store personnel regarding return authorization requests.
Record daily shipping dollars by account and purchase order.
Create account documents such as new item forms, maintenance forms, and order forms for existing customers.
