Nurse Practitioner, Per Diem Day Shift, Cardiac

Adventist Health Care seeks to hire an experienced Nurse Practitioner for Cardiology who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner you will:

Perform initial patient screenings and develop treatment plans for acute and chronic diseases
Educate and guide patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle habits
Assists medical providers in development, implementation and periodic review of health care policies, protocols, and procedures
Obtain patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination
Ensure the confidentiality of all patients', company and other relevant information under HIPPA guidelines.
Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness and injury.
Explain procedures and discuss test results and prescribed treatments with patients

Qualifications include:

Master's degree or Doctorate degree in Nursing
Licensed as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland
National Board Certification
Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Active American Heart Association Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner preferred
Eligible for Maryland Controlled Dangerous Substance license
DEA license is not required but preferred
Cardiovascular Experience highly preferred

Work Schedule:

10hr shifts to cover gaps in the schedule or cover vacation/days off

#GR8 Nursing

Pay Range:

$46.18 - $69.27

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.

Tobacco and Drug Statement

Tobacco use is a well-recognized preventable cause of death in the United States and an important public health issue.
