Nurse Practitioner - Palliative Care

Position: Nurse Practitioner - Palliative Care

Location: South Alabama

About the Opportunity:
Interdisciplinary palliative care program within well-established hospital system is actively seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to enhance their Adult Palliative Care service. This position is supported by Hospitalist physicians and Nurse Practitioners, as well as a team of experienced case managers and a Spiritual Care Director.

Responsibilities:

Ideal candidates will possess or be willing to obtain an ACHPN certification
Deliver direct and indirect patient care for palliative care inpatients through comprehensive assessments and aggressive symptom and medication management
Provide inpatient consultations in critical care, oncology, neurology, cardiology, and general medical and surgical units
Collaborate with referring providers to coordinate a plan of care
Conduct goals of care discussions with patients and families to align treatment choices with their wishes

Practice Highlights:

Monday – Friday schedule, 8am - 5pm
No call required and no weekends
No outpatient responsibilities
