Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating imaging equipment to help diagnose and treat various medical conditions using radioactive drugs. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information to patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Prepare and administer radioactive drugs to patients for imaging procedures
Operate imaging equipment to produce clear and accurate images of the patient's organs and tissues
Monitor patients during and after imaging procedures to ensure their safety
Analyze and interpret images to assist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions
Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure accurate results
Follow safety procedures to protect yourself and patients from exposure to radiation
Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and address any concerns
Qualifications and Skills:
Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field
Certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N)
Current state licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing situations
