Mental Health Worker I (Windham Center) - Per Diem
Description: The Mental Health Worker I will:
- Follow the plan of care as directed by RN.
- Communicate information to the appropriate places.
- Perform safe patient care adhering to Policies and Procedures of Springfield Hospital.
- Take responsibility for maintaining and/or increasing knowledge base in area of practice.
- Assist in the management of the milieu in accordance with the policy and procedures to ensure safety and a therapeutic environment.
- Will lead and co-lead groups as appropriate.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (preferred)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) training (preferred)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) training (preferred)
- Anger Management skills training (preferred)
- Group leadership skills
- CPR (within 3 months of hire)
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certified (within 3 months of hire)
